Lost Grove Brewing
About us
At Lost Grove Brewing, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. From grain to glass, we are committed to brewing beer in ways that care for the environment and support our community. We work to reduce waste, source ingredients locally, and use our brewery to create a positive impact.
Our Mission
Lost Grove Brewing is dedicated to sustainability, community, and great beer. We source locally, reduce waste, and focus on responsible practices that leave a positive impact. As a ClimateHound-certified carbon neutral producer, we measure, offset, and reduce our footprint to support environmental justice and a better future.
Through our Powerful Pints program, we partner with four nonprofits each year, featuring their work at our Hyde Park and La Pointe locations for three months at a time. Together, we raise awareness and funds through events, donations, and community support.
Established in 2017, Lost Grove remains committed to fostering connection, supporting local nonprofits, and brewing beer with purpose.

A Family-Owned Business

A North End native and Boise High graduate, Jake Black began his restaurant career at just 15 years old working at Bitter Creek Ale House. He went on to gain experience in a variety of roles, including as a counter person at Lucky 13 (now Lost Grove Hyde Park), where he discovered a passion for hospitality and community.
In 2017, he opened the original Lost Grove Brewing with a vision to create more than just a successful business. From the start, the focus was on building a company that values employees, cares for the environment, and contributes to the community, a mission strengthened by becoming a certified B Corp.
With the support of his wife and team, Lost Grove opened its second location in Hyde Park in 2023, carrying forward the same principles of fairness, inclusion, and sustainability. Most recently, the launch of Lost Window, a breakfast burrito concept, has expanded the company’s connection to the community. As a little-known secret, the Miss June burrito is a tribute to the newest and littlest member of the Black family!
