Meet Idaho Botanical Garden
Since 1984, The Idaho Botanical Garden (IBG) has served as a nonprofit garden and community gathering space dedicated to connecting people of all ages, abilities, and circumstances to the natural world through environmental education, sustainable horticulture, and cultural events.
Making a Difference
IBG’s 15 acres of cultivated specialty gardens welcome over 150,000 guests each year. A resource for horticultural knowledge and conservation, IBG hosts a variety of events, from educational programs highlighting the ecology of the Intermountain West to concerts featuring regional and national artists. The Garden’s offerings empower guests to become knowledgeable stewards of the environment and active supporters of Treasure Valley’s rapidly growing community.
The Garden’s outdoor classroom reaches approximately 11,000 Idaho children each year. Infusing STEAM (science, technology, education, art, and mathematics) into all its offerings, the Garden’s field trips and summer camps facilitate creative low-cost educational experiences for learners of all ages and abilities to discover the wonders of the natural world. From educational events like BUG Day to after-school visits in the interactive Children’s Garden, IBG connects future generations with Idaho’s plants and creatures, big and small. By facilitating these rich experiences, IBG works to inspire a future generation of environmental advocates and life-long learners.

Here’s what we are doing this month to support IBG:
Powerful Pint Night - Monday, June 5, 5 pm: We are celebrating the awesome work Idaho Botanical Garden does with bee-themed trivia and a plant sale! Get there early to sign your trivia team up, trivia starts at 6 pm. 50% of the whole day's proceeds go directly to Idaho Botanical Garden.
Powerful Pint Beer: Buy a Lt. Dan Orange Cream Ale anytime in June and $2 from each pint will go directly to IBG.
Round Up At Checkout: When you visit the taproom in June, round your tab up to the nearest dollar to donate your change to The Garden. Those small donations add up to make a big difference!
More Ways to Support
IBG receives no general funding from city, state, or federal government and relies on the contributions and support of the community to operate. The Garden’s mission is to “Cultivate. Educate. Celebrate. We grow our community by connecting people, plants, and nature.”
