Get ready for the most fun game you may have never heard of. Quaffing is coming to Lost Grove Brewing this winter! Our first day will be Sat, Jan 27 at 1:30 pm.
What is Quaffing?

The concept is pretty simple: Teams compete against each other in a game of finesse, style, and beer chugging. Teammates stand at either end of a 16-foot-long table. One teammate slides a mug of beer down the table toward their beer-drinking buddy. When the beer reaches the end of the table, the second teammate catches the brew mid-flight and then chugs it. Teams can get bonus points for doing tricks between the catches!
Teams are made up of 4 quaffers. Once the first two teammates do their slide and chug, the other two teammates belly up to the table and take their turn. The 4 teammates alternate to accumulate as many points as possible in their timed rounds.
Rules
Four people per team
Quaffers must stand at least two feet back from the edge of the table
Teams must rotate their pitcher and quaffer each pitch
There are 60-second rounds for teams to accumulate as many points as possible. The team that accumulates the most points advances.
Each team is guaranteed at least two games
Scoring
We are doing a double-elimination bracket. Two teams will head off against each other in a 60-second round to get as many points as possible. The winning team advances to the next round.
There will be a max of 3 points per catch:
+1 point for catching the glass
+1 point for catching by the handle
+1 point for performing a trick before catching it
Costumes are encouraged and points are awarded to best-dressed teams
Incorporating props, stunts, and party tricks is encouraged!
In the event that two teams tie at the end of the 60-second round, there will be a Quaffeoff. Each team will have 3 minutes to decide on an ultimate trick to impress the crowd. Teams will take turns performing their tricks and the crowd will decide the tiebreaker.
